Bolu Provincial Culture and Tourism Manager Hakan Doğanay, stating that they want to take part in fairs in different parts of the world at the point of promotion of Bolu, said, “As Bolu, we want to be in all major fairs. These are the places where world tourism is talked about,” he said.

“Bolu Province Tourism Sector Meeting” was held in a hotel in Karacasu Town of Bolu. At the meeting held under the management of Bolu Provincial Culture and Tourism Manager Hakan Doğanay, important companies that supply the industry with tools and equipment introduced their products to hotel managers. Apart from this, Bol-Off Bolu Off-Road Club informed the hotel representatives about the upcoming events and asked for support.
At the meeting, the projects that can be done to promote Bolu were also discussed. During the long meeting, possible collaborations between the hotel representatives and the Culture and Tourism Directorate were discussed, and ideas were exchanged on possible steps to be taken for Bolu.
“ANTALYA IS A GOOD PRESENTATION POINT FOR US”
Speaking about the importance of the fair to be held in Antalya, Doğanay said, “The visuals of the stand where Bolu, Yalova and Düzce and Sakarya will attend together at the Local Products Fair. Bolu will have a strong presence here. Our local products and women's cooperatives are now participating in this. We, as the Culture and Tourism Provincial Directorate, will be there as friends. Of course, we do not want tourism professionals to be here. Even if they cannot attend, they should send their brochures. But it would be good if at least one person joins on the first day, we will be strong there. I don't think that we can show a unity. We care about this because Antalya is a good introduction point for us. They call it the capital of tourism. If we want to progress on that path, we must appear there.”
“WE WANT TO BE AT BIG EXHIBITIONS AS BOLU”
Dünya’nın farklı noktalarındaki fuarlarda da Bolu olarak yer almak istediklerine vurgu yapan Doğanay, “Bunun bir diğer ayağı da İstanbul’da düzenlenecek EMITT, Aralık’ın sonu, Ocak’ın başı gibi yapılacak. Onda da mutlaka yer almamız gerekli, çünkü fuarlar yavaş yavaş başladı. Bununla ilgili plan ve programlarımızı yapıyoruz, Sayın Valimize de bir sunum yapacağız. Arkadaşlar fuarların tamamında, özellikle büyük fuarların tamamında, Bolu olarak olmak istiyoruz. İşte EMITT’de olmayı düşünüyoruz. ITB Berlin, Almanya’da çok önemli, Dünya’nın konuştuğu bir fuar burası. Orada olmayı düşünüyoruz. Hedeflerimiz bunlar, biz sunacağız ama yukarısı ne diyecek bilmiyoruz. MITT Moskava’da olmak istiyoruz, çünkü Dünya turizminin konuşulduğu yerler bunlar” ifadelerini kullandı.
“ÖNÜNÜZE DÜŞER, İSTEDİĞİNİZ YERE GİDERİZ”
Underlining that they are ready for any kind of work as the Directorate, Doğanay said, “If we are going to call ourselves a tourism city, I say it emphatically. If we call ourselves a tourism city and if we are going to take a step on that road, we need to be at these fairs, we have to be seen there. That's why you create public opinion about it. We are ready for whatever comes to us as the Culture and Tourism Provincial Directorate and the Ministry. We fall in front of you, we go wherever you want. We are ready for duty in 24 hours,” he said.
The meeting ended with a group photo shoot in front of the hotel.
